JEAN HOGG

Jean is an artist-filmmaker working across documentary, drama, and multidisciplinary art, with a practice rooted in long-form, character-led storytelling.

Her feature documentary Identical—A Twin Story, currently in post-production after nine years in development and production, reflects her commitment to deeply collaborative, observational filmmaking.

Jean began her career training as an assistant director in television and short films before completing an MA in Film and transitioning into directing. She has since made award-winning short films and co-directed two British feature films.

Alongside her filmmaking, Jean brings more than a decade of experience in community arts, social enterprise, and social care. This background informs a collaborative and socially engaged approach to documentary, grounded in building trust, nurturing relationships, and creating space for authentic human stories to unfold.
