Diamond Girls

This was a guerrilla style filmmaking project which was written through improvisation sessions with the cast.
I would film rehearsals often working from Meisner repetition exercises and then write scenes. I trained in Meisner myself, alongside actors, which was a brilliantly terrifying experience and gave me such an invaluable insight into acting but also how to be a useful director for an actor.
We shot on location around London over a couple of years. Diamond Girls is still a project I'd love to get made, looking at the less than glamorous side of lap dancing clubs and female friendship.
